Support Criteria

Support Criteria for Families Experiencing Baby Loss

We understand that no family should ever have to face the loss of a baby. During such an overwhelming and heartbreaking time, practical and financial pressures can feel impossible to manage.

Our charity exists to offer small but meaningful support to families experiencing baby loss.
As a new organisation with limited funds, we can currently contribute toward some funeral and memorial costs, though not the full amount.

Who We Can Support

We are able to help fund towards your baby’s funeral if your loss occurs from 24 weeks’ gestation and up to 12 weeks of infancy.
If your loss was outside of these stages, please still reach out to us. We will always do our very best to offer guidance, comfort, and support in any way we can.

What We Can Help With

Subject to available funds, we may contribute toward:

  • Funeral costs (cremation or burial)

  • Urns or ashes caskets

  • Headstones or memorial markers

Please note: We are unable to cover full costs, but we will offer a partial contribution wherever possible.

How Payments Are Made

To protect families and ensure funds are used appropriately:

  • All contributions are paid directly to the funeral director, memorial provider, or relevant company.

  • We are unable to provide funds directly to parents or family members.

Headstone & Memorial Assistance

  • Applications for headstones or memorial markers must be made within two years of the baby’s passing.

  • This ensures that funding remains available for newly bereaved families needing immediate support.

Application Requirements

When applying, families (or funeral directors on their behalf) will need to provide:

  • A brief outline of the support requested

  • Contact details for the funeral home or memorial provider

  • An invoice or estimate of costs

  • A copy of the baby’s death certificate

  • Photo identification for the parent or legal guardian submitting the application

All information shared with us is handled with the utmost respect and confidentiality.

Funding Availability

As a small and developing charity, our support depends on donations and fundraising efforts. Because of this:

  • Assistance cannot always be guaranteed

  • Funding may be limited or capped at certain times

We will always do our best to help. If we are unable to offer financial support, we will guide families toward other organisations who may be able to assist.
